Our story
Pegaso Saddlery was established in 2014 and is entirely run by award winning saddler Rebecca Simmons. Rebecca's passion for working in leather started from the age of 15 where she made the gaucho style polo belts as a hobby. From 2014 - 2016 Rebecca pursued her passion and studied the Cordwainers Diploma in saddle, bridle and harness making, Where she also achieved her Level 1 Bridle, Level 2 Saddle, Bridle and Harness Exams and ran Pegaso Saddlery and Leatherwork alongside her studies. Pegaso was Based in Buckinghamshire but was Based in north London during term times. She then relocated to North Yorkshire to pursue an apprenticeship in saddlery, however after 10 months due to unforeseen circumstances, Rebecca relocated back to Buckinghamshire where it all began. Rebecca then achieved her Level 3 Bridle Making Exam and Level 3 Saddle Making Exam and also completed the advanced apprenticeship scheme at the saddlery training centre, making her a qualified saddler. She is still continuing to achieve her final Level 3 Harness making Exam to also become a qualified harness maker at the Saddlery Training centre in Salisbury with Mark Romain MBE.

What we aim to do
Pegaso aims to provide quality, traditionally handcrafted, bespoke saddlery and leatherwork items using the finest English leathers and fittings including Sedgewick leather. Every single item made by Pegaso has been individually handcrafted and completely hand stitched. With a creative flair Pegaso aims to produce unique items that you cannot buy off of the shelf. Having grown up around horses for her entire life Rebecca has a wealth of experience which helps achieve the optimum fit and design of products to benefit the horse.
